Here at the Yiddish World of Michael Wex we take your privacy very seriously. When we ask for your contact details it is solely for the purpose of sending you our monthly ezine, Vekslblat, or for replying to a question or comment that you have through the contact page or for finding out what your Yiddish translation needs are. On the contact page and the Yiddish translation page we ask what country you are from simply out of interest - we like to see where visitors are from. You do not have to answer that question in the form. If you ask a question that we think will be of interest to our other visitors we may choose to post it on our FAQs page. However, we will never include your contact information. We do not give your details out to any third parties, ever, except if you are looking for a Yiddish translator and fill in the form on the Yiddish translation page when a notification email is sent to Paul Glasser at YIVO who will contact you directly. He will ask your permission before forwarding your query to the relevant translator. Sitesell, the company that hosts our website, has a very strict anti-spamming policy and this is why you are asked to opt-in to the ezine through a link in an email that is sent out to you when you subscribe. This is to prevent anyone signing you up for stuff you didn't ask to be signed up for! We hope that this puts your mind at rest.
